The African American Studies Class at MHS took a trip to learn more about HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities). The students took a tour of the school and learned about the programs and what makes an HBCU unique. These institutions are still predominantly Black-serving schools; however, today HBCUs have students from all over the world attend these schools. #MHSTheHighSchoolOfChoice
MHS band and choir students recently represented our music program in four different All-State ensembles at this year's Illinois Music Education Conference. Set in the 1590s, brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are desperate to write a hit play but are stuck in the shadow of that Renaissance rock star known as, "The Bard." When a local soothsayer foretells that the future of theatre involves singing, dancing, and acting at the same time, Nick and Nigel set out to write the world’s very first musical. But, amidst the scandalous excitement of opening night, the Bottom Brothers realize that reaching the top means being true to thine own self, and all that jazz!

The MHS Ecology Club is participating in a Tree-Plenish event this school year on April 19th from 5-7pm. The goal of this event is to replenish enough trees to compensate for our school`s energy consumption. Our tree goal for this year will be 200 trees! #MHSTheHighSchoolOfChoice
Mascoutah High School's Future Business Leaders of America had 29 members attend the Illinois Southwestern FBLA Conference at McKendree University. Students competed in business related events and took part in workshops with local business leaders. MHS was well represented receiving seven 1st Place Awards, six 2nd place, and six 3rd place.
