April Is Autism Awareness Month

Autism is a developmental disability that usually appears during the first three years of life. The cause is unknown. It affects how a person’s brain works, but not all people with autism are affected the same way. To find out more about the signs of autism and how to help, go to the website Autism Speaks
Students can wear BLUE or PURPLE on Wednesdays in April to show their support.

Field Trip Chaperones

Classes will be going on field trips in the coming weeks, and parents will have the opportunity to be a chaperone. Your duties as a chaperone will involve the supervision of a group of students.

We do not have room on the bus to ask all parents to help, so we limit the number to 5. Kindergarten classes will be able to take more chaperones than the other grades.

Read, Right & Run

This is the first year WES has been able to have a RRR group. Thanks to Mrs White, Mrs Bradley, and Mr Duncan for supervising the group.
